Based on the years in which Robinson Studio was in operation, 1926 - 1928, this photograph was likely taken around that time rather than ca. 1940. Robinson Studio was operated by Henry Clay Robinson, Jr., a Navy veteran of WWI, who settled in Front Royal after leaving the service. He closed his studio and sold his equipment late in 1928 and left the area.
