Born in Woodstock, Richard was the son of Marvin Eugene and Lelia Lockard (Kibler) Keller.
He was a salesman for the Miles Music Company and lived in Harrisonburg in 1964 when he married Betty Sue Phibbs in Bridgewater, Virginia.
Later in his life, he lived in Winchester.
The image on the left has a mark at the top where the photographer noted which of the two images he planned to print.
