Standing: James Ray Miller and his wife, Emily E. (Funkhouser) Miller.

Seated (l to r): James Ray Miller, Jr., his younger sister, Marilyn (Miller) Wright, and his older sister, E. Cornelia (Miller) Sollenberger.

The family was from Strasburg.

James "Ray" was a son of Thomas J. and Mary E. (Irwin) Miller. His wife Emily, was a daughter of Isiah and Rebecca Henkel Funkhouser. In the 1930 census, James worked as a Postmaster.

Their older daughter, Cornelia, granduated from high school in 1941 and married Robert Lewis Sollenberger in 1946. He lived in Woodstock and was in the Navy when they married.

Their daughter, Marilyn, married James Milton Wright in Strasburg in 1958. He was from Leaksville, North Carolina.
