Letter:

Dear Mother,
I just came back from ten days out at sea making landings and was it some experience. I wasn’t allowed to write you. I was going or write while I was aboard ship. I told you not to worry if you didn’t hear from me and I hope you didn’t. Well I’m ok and didn’t get sea sick either.
I got 14 letters and cards while I was out and couldn’t answer any so I’m a little behind in my work. Ha. Do you know what an un-born moron is? A little inside dope.
I have to hurry this because it is nearly taps. I didn’t get the box because of the maneuvers but I’ll probably get it tomorrow. Well good nite all and sleep tight.
Love,
Joe
