Letter:

Dear Mother & All,
I just got back from the field again. We have really been going since I got back. I have just finished getting the Christmas cards out. Didn’t have a chance before.
I got both boxes and was I surprised and pleased. I couldn’t wait till Christmas and we went out and took everything and I didn’t know whether we would be back for Christmas or not but I guess we are.
I am writing this in the head after taps and I sure am tired. The Sgt. Major just came in. He is a swell guy but he is sure making a big stink in here. Ha.
I am writing to Mr. Tom to thank him for the 45. Thanks to all,
Joe
