Dear Mother & All,
I am waiting to go on mess duty so I have a little time to write. I didn’t get to town to get any Easter cards, but I think you are like me and would rather have a letter. When I did get the chance to get the cards they would have been too late so here is a letter better late than never.
I have been waiting for you to write and say you heard from me before I answered but I think it takes too long that way so I’ll write oftener.
I am in a divisional show that is touring the Island, I’ll enclose what the paper says about our show. (I sing in the group of five mentioned. About that book I think they were putting some things in it about our invasion of Namur, so I guess you will get it sometime.
I’m ok. Just remember as long as you hear from me I’m ok because if anything happened you would be the first to know.
I have been hearing from Margaret quite often. I received three letters and a picture in four days, not bad. I haven’t heard from Leila in about two weeks.
Well so long for now.
Love,
Joe
