Letter:

Dear Mother & All,
Well everything is ok with me and I hope they are the same at home. I saw Charlie Grabil[?] from Strasburg on liberty and I would like you to write his ma and tell her I saw him. I’ll give you her address, Mrs. Joe Riddleberger Strasburg Va. Things just go along the same here and there is nothing to write about. You said you worried when you didn’t hear from me. Well you know you can’t expect regular correspondence when I’m over here because we are supposed to either be training or fighting so less letters. Our show was quite a success and we had a dance in our honor the other nite. We had a lot of fun. Well I have the guard from 12 till four so I’ll sign off and get some sleep.
Love to all,
Joe
