Letter:

Dear Family,
I am writing this to explain why I haven’t been writing. We are going into combat again and I haven’t been able to write. This will be the last letter till this engagement is over, so when you hear from me next the situation will be well in hand. There isn’t much I can say except that I’m fine and please don’t worry cause I’ll be ok. Tell “Buddy” why I didn’t answer his letter and also Buck Lichtlighter. Well till I hear from you all my love to you all, Joe
PS Call Leila and tell her please.
PPS Also Dot, I told M[argie]
