Letter:
Dear Family,
Here I am again snug as a bug in a rug. You were right am in a tent camp. I don’t see how Charlie got a letter home so soon. I had just gotten here when the air mail letter came. We have a new show already and we are giving it to the 24th tonight. It’s called The Snafu Snapshots. I’m in a small band and an act.
Say Dad, tell Clayton Painter that I wish I could get a diploma now. I have really had some experiences, some bad and most of them worse. I have but to thank God that I am writing this today.
A buddy of mine “Alex Leonoff” and I are in charge of the recreation tent and we have some job keeping the books, magazines, baseball gear, etc. together. (Alex just said hello).
Say Erma & Dad I have really been enjoying your letters about as much as you have been mine, I am sure. Ha. Let’s all agree to write but I’m waiting till I get yours, see?
Palanido [sic] just came in and I have to go get a piano for the show so that’s all till later. Just remember don’t worry I’m ok.
Love Joe
