Biographical Text

Del Kridler brought welcome news to Woodstock when she opened her Yarn and Embroidery Shop on Main Street. There she sold an array of items to knit or sew almost any object. She also taught classes through the county Home Extension Office.

Born in the textile region of France, Del met her husband during the Second World War and moved to the United States. They moved to the Pughs Run area in 1967. She worked as a nurse at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital until opening her shop in 1974.
