When Ann Hockman moved to Shenandoah County she had finally found her permanent home. Her and her husband had previously moved to a new home almost every year during his 33 year career with the Air Force.

The couple settled in Mt. Jackson and Ann worked for Heishman’s Garage as a bookkeeper. She volunteered with the Toymobile project and was a member of the Woodstock Presbyterian Church, Mt. Jackson Garden Club, and Mt. Jackson Book Club.
