Photograph of Wanda Oswalt Frazier.

Published in the Shenandoah Herald newspaper on October 2 1969 as part of their "Country Kitchens" series.

Wanda was born June 18 1930 in Lawton Oklahoma to Cassie D. Stamper and Malcom Oswalt. She married Woodstock native Stanley Frazier while he was stationed at Fort Sill.

In 1963 she moved to Woodstock when her husband was transferred to the local Leggett's Store. She went to work for Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, the hospital campaign, and the county school board.

Eventually she became a partner in opening the "Sue-Wan" Beauty Shop in the Woodstock Shopping Center and opened the Woodstock Hallmark Store in 1969.

Outside of her businesses, Wanda was a mother to three boys, a member and Treasurer of the 1st Baptist Church, and a member of the Massanutten Garden Club.

She died on December 4, 2008 in North Carolina.
