The other man and child are probably members of the Boyer family.

George Alva Boyer is most remembered as a Confederate Veteran of the Civil War. He was a native of Fort Valley, and came from one of the oldest families in the area.

George Alva Boyer was identified in August 2007 by Harry Lockhart, who also knew of his Veteran status and death date.
In February 2002, Charlotte Clinedinst identified both men as Boyers from Fort Valley because she recognized them.
