Photograph of Samuella Hawes Crimm as a young woman.
She was the daughter of Jacob Clinedinst (1880-1952) and Behethland (Fitzpatrick) (1885-1971) Crim and grew up in New Market.
She never married and spent most of her life teaching. She was a noted Professor of Science and Biology, and is buried in Emmanuel Cemetery.
