Alton G. Plauger as a teenager wearing a suit and tie.
Alton was the son of William E. (1868-1943) and Amanda Leah (McInturff) (1867-1924) Plauger, of Fort Valley. He was one of five siblings.
He attended Fort Valley High School, then moved to Maryland, where he lived with his brother, Charles, in Ellicott City, a suburb of Baltimore.
Alton worked at the J. Natwick Lumber Company when, sadly, he fell ill, and died a few weeks later in the St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.
He was a few months shy of his 18th birthday.
He is buried in the Plauger Cemetery, Detrick, Fort Valley.
