Portrait photograph of Bill Seal in his U.S. Army uniform.
He was the son of Virgil David (1901-1990) and Bernice Catherine (George) (1901-1980) Seal.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War Two and was shot in the knee. His leg was amputated while in hospital in England recovering. After the war he returned to Woodstock and worked at the American Viscose Corporation (later called Avtex Fibers) in Front Royal.
