Photograph of Robert "Bobby" Milton Cooper, Sr., as a young child.

Bobby Cooper was one of many children born to Oswald Bentley, Sr. (1916-1981) and Evelyn Pearl (McAfee) (1918-1973) Cooper. His father was originally from Arlington, Virginia, but lived in Woodstock for much of his life. His mother was from Woodstock.

Bobby grew up in Woodstock and married Ruby Estell Veney, the daughter of Samuel Russell and Harriett Ann (Tutt) Veney, both from Page County. Ruby worked as a seamstress for the Blue Bell Company in Woodstock for over 24 years, retiring in 1993.

Bobby is best remembered for operating “Bobby's Family Restaurant” in Woodstock for many years.

The couple had a son, Robert Milton “Bobby” Cooper, Jr., and three daughters, Evelyn Denise, Darlene Estell, and Roberta Ann Cooper.
