Laura grew up in Woodstock and was the youngest of six children born to John Samuel (1888-1970) and Annie Elizabeth (Clem) (1889-1973) Harris.
She served in the U.S. Army and never married. Her last residence was in Maurertown.
She died, tragically, of smoke inhalation when her house trailer burned on New Year’s Eve, 1984. Her death certificate noted she was retired military, U.S. Army.
