Photograph of Barbara Hollar as a young woman. Barbara was the daughter of Russell and Virginia Hollar. She grew up in Shenandoah County, and later majored in History at Radford College, graduating in 1958.
She met her future husband while they were both working for Deco Electronics in Cambridge, MA. They moved to Belmont, Massachusetts, where Barbara stayed for most of her adult life, She and her husband had a son, Stuart, and a daughter, Ellen.
Following retirement, she and Bob traveled extensively in Europe and Asia. Barbara struggled with Parkinson's Disease in the years before her death but enjoyed the support of her family, community and church in Belmont throughout her last years.
