He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II and then owned and operated Exxon Service Stations throughout the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area.
He married Betty Marie (Arehart) Biller (1932-2013). Together, they raised four children, mostly in Maryland.
He spent his later years in Silver Spring, Maryland.
