Janet was born in Maurertown, the daughter of John Festus (1900-1986) and Brucie Goldia (Finks) (1902-1965) Raynor.
She married Calvin Coolidge See (1924-2013) in Toms Brook, in August 1947. Calvin was born in Rawlings, Maryland, the son of Wardney Vance and Zella Mae See. He worked as a mechanic.
Janet was a member of Maurertown Brethren Church. She and her husband had a daughter, Carolyn, and spent their lives in Shenandoah County.
Both are buried in Woodstock.
