Description

Robert "Bob" Earl Willey standing in the studio as a young boy.

Bob was born in Strasburg, the son of Robert Earl “Skeeter” Willey, Sr. and Miriam Elaine "Sis" (Wolfe) Willey. He was a 1956 graduate of Strasburg High School and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy. He was a former co-owner of Peoples Drug Store and was a pharmacist for 59 years.

His wife was Sandra Kay (Polk) Willey (1942-2015). The couple had a son, Curtis Edwin Willey, and two daughters, Crystal and Carla.

He was a life member of the Strasburg Christian Church where he served as Elder and a member of the Men’s Fellowship. He was a charter member of the Strasburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, a past Worship Master of Spurmont Masonic Lodge No. 98, Strasburg and a former Strasburg Town Councilman.
