Born in Fort Valley, Margie was the daughter of Kemper Claye and Zola (Munch) Powell. She married Lester Raymond Lichliter (1915-1988) in 1944.
She retired from Avtex Fibers with over 49 years of service. She was an active volunteer with the Fort Valley Fire Department Auxiliary, the Fort Valley Museum, the Fort Valley Library, and her church, White Chapel United Methodist Church.
Margie is survived by a son, Terry Lichliter, and three daughters, Gloria (Lichliter) Eastep, Sandra (Lichliter) Campbell, and Debra (Lichliter) Mattison.
