Description

Portrait of Marie Williams, wife of Sandy Scott Williams, of Strasburg. She was born on February 20, 1907 and lived to be 100 years old. She led a life filled with community service including fifteen years on the Strasburg Town Council, 58 years as a member of the Strasburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and participation in many other local organizations. Mrs. Williams was the founder of the Teenage Club and a former manager of Recreation, Inc., and Manager of the Strasburg pool for five years. She was also one of the co-founders of Compassion Cupboard. Her children are: Margaret (Williams) Bromley, Archie, Thomas "Tommy", and Richard Williams, Sherry (Williams) Rodgers, and Martha (Williams) Brill.
