Portrait photograph of Marie (Smith) Williams, wife of Sandy Scott Williams, of Strasburg.

She lived to be 100 years old.

She led a life filled with community service including fifteen years on the Strasburg Town Council, 58 years as a member of the Strasburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and participation in many other local organizations.

Mrs. Williams was the founder of the Teenage Club and a former manager of Recreation, Inc., and Manager of the Strasburg pool for five years. She was also one of the co-founders of Compassion Cupboard.

Her children were: Margaret (Williams) Bromley, Archie, Thomas "Tommy", John Sandy, Richard Williams, Sherry (Williams) Rodgers, and Martha (Williams) Brill.

Identified in 2006 by Gloria Stickley, who was the subject's niece. Gloria showed the photo to subject's children to confirm her identification.
