Photograph of Thelma (Pardoe) Erickson as a toddler standing on a chair in studio.

Born in Baltimore Maryland, her parents were Harry and Agnes (Miller) Pardoe.

She graduated from Carlisle High School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 1943 and then attended the practical school of nursing at Carlisle Hospital. She worked as a nurse for a short time before her 37-year tenure with Reeves-Hoffman, a prominent electronics manufacturer that operated for many years in Carlisle.

Thelma ended her career with the Cumberland County courthouse, where she worked as a jury staff.

Her first marriage was to a young Army Sergeant, Maynard Angney Pardo, in August 1943. At the time, he was stationed in Jackson, North Carolina. The couple had three children together, David, Jeff, and Amy, but divorced in the early 1950's.

She later married again to a man named Erickson.

Subject identified in 2006 by her cousin, Madalyn Pangle, who also remembered that Thelma was the grandmother of Jeff Lebo, an NCAA basketball coach at Auburn University..
