She lived in Woodstock when she married in 1946. At that time, she was a 33-year old secretary and her new husband, Ray Allen Emswiller (1915-1982), was a meat cutter living in Washington, D.C.
His parents were Marion Franklin Emswiller and Dunnie Hollar. He was born in Shenandoah County.
Katherine lived in Falls Church when she died of a heart attack at the age of 69 years. She left behind a daughter, Rachel Ann.
