The Shenandoah Herald published an article about it on November 11, 1938. The headline was: "Miss Elizabeth Sine Wins Beauty Pageant at Woodstock Theatre".

The win entitled Miss Sine to compete in the Shenandoah Valley beauty pageant held in New Market the next month.
