Photograph of Donald Perry Peer as a young boy standing on a bench.
His parents were John P. (1905-1975) and Gladys V. (Richman) Peer (1914-2007) from Saumsville.
Donald was only 13 years old when he drowned one summer afternoon while swimming with friends in Bryan Hepner’s farm pond near Fairview.
He is buried in Saumsville Christian Church Cemetery.
The name, “John Peer”, is written on the glass plate negative of this image.
