Portrait of Mary Bair Bowman as a young woman.

Mary was the only child of Franklin Schmucker (1871-1963) and Sarah Fletcher (Supinger) (1870-1953) Bowman. Her father was a merchant in Woodstock.

Mary was a well-known music teacher at Woodstock High School and an active member of her church. She never married.
