Fannie was the second of six children of Leah (Ryan) Dellinger and Augustine Austin Dellinger.

She is a descendant of Johann Georg Dollinger (Dellinger) who settled in the Opequon region of the Shenandoah River Valley (Conicville, Shenandoah Co.) of Virginia around 1736.

Rebecca married John Howard Furr in April, 1875.
