Shirley was the daughter of William Roosevelt and Mary Vernon (Edmonson) Pangle. She graduated from Strasburg High School in 1951. She was employed in various jobs through the years including the Virginia Apple and Peach Inspection Agency in Winchester, Crown Cork and Seal in Winchester, Milestone Restaurant in Toms Brook and Denny’s in Strasburg. She owned Country Corner Crafts in Strasburg in the 1980’s and continued to make crafts at home after her retirement. She married Owen Lee Pangle.
Nancy (Sherman) Watts was the daughter of Robert Henry Sherman and Freddie Irene Edmondson. She married Jennings Watts, a printer, in 1949.
