Rosie Vermillion Burner as a young child seated on a pillowed chair.

Rosie was the daughter of Samuel Wayman and Lula Frances (Ritenour) Burner. She had a brother, Marvin and two sisters, Ada and Essie.

She married her husband, Eddie Edmond Ward, in 1942. At that time, he worked as a truck driver.
