Patsy Jean Didawick lived in Toms Brook and worked as a bookkeeper in 1958 when she married John Emory Simmons (1935-2016), a truck driver from Edinburg.
His parents were Floyd Oakney and Olga Emory (Burns) Simmons. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
The couple moved to Florida in the 1970’s then to Texas. They moved back to Virginia but returned to Texas to be near their grown children – David, Rachel, Beth, and Michael -- and grandchildren.
