Portrait photograph of Floyd William Good wearing his U.S. Navy uniform. At the time this photograph was made, Floyd was an Aviation Electrician's mate.
Floyd was born in Maurertown, a son of Sadie Good Rittenour.
He remained in Shenandoah County until he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943, where he served in the South Pacific during World War II aboard the USS Talita.
He retired as maintenance supervisor from the Automatic Service Company after 22 years of service.
He was a member of the Edinburg VFW Post 2447 and St. John's United Methodist Church in Edinburg.
He married Anna Frances (George) Good, and helped raise their four children: Michael Good, Carolyn (Good) Reger, Shelly Good-Cook, and Kelly Good-Singleton.
