Description

Siblings Lucia and Benjamin Zeigler, as children, posed together on a wicker bench.

They were the children of Ola Jackson and Mary Moore (Stoneburner) Zeigler.

They grew up in Edinburg, on High Street next to St. Paul's Reformed Church, and graduated from Edinburg High School.

Lucia went on to earn a Master’s in Dietetics at the Ohio State University, where she met her husband, Irvin Reynolds "Billy" Kilby (1920-1996). The two married and made their home in Sperryville, where she served as an elementary school teacher and librarian for many years. They raised two children, William I. and Mary K. Zeigler.

Benjamin married June Sylvia (Fadeley) Zeigler (1925-2000) and is buried in Augusta County, Virginia.

Identified in 2009 by Nancye L. Bowman who was a friend and classmate of Lucia's for 10 years. She remembered the two children were the niece and nephew of Dr. Ralph Stoneburner.
