William "Billy" Douglas Golladay shown when he was a cadet at Massanutten Military Academy (MMA) in Woodstock. He is wearing his school's dress uniform.
He was the son of Ernest Earl and Annie Kline "Nan" (Roller) Golladay.
During World War II, Private Golladay served with the 46th Infantry Battalion, 5th Armored Division, VIII Corps, Ninth United States Army.
William died from wounds received in combat near the Rhine River in Germany. He was nineteen.
PFC Golladay is a Purple Heart recipient and is buried in The Netherlands.
