She was the daughter of Joseph Robert and Lottie Mae (Ritenour) Artz from Strasburg and had six siblings.
Her husband was Edwin Leo Pomeroy (1920-2009) from Warren County. They married in 1942, and had met when they were both living in Baltimore and working at the Martin Company. Lois had a clerical job and Edwin was a mechanic.
She lived in the Front Royal, Virginia, area later in her life.
