Portrait photograph of Dorothy "Dot" Lee (Barb) Hulvey and her husband, Theodore "Ted" W. Hulvey, posed together.

Ted was born in Bergton, formerly Dovesville, in Rockingham County to William Daniel and Mary Catherine (Smith) Hulvey.

He served served in the United States Army Air Force during W.W. II as a tail gunner on a B24. In this photograph, he is a Corporal.

He married Dorothy Lee (Barb) Hulvey in December 1944. Together, the couple raised two children: Pamela Sue (Hulvey) Zemany and Daryl Lee Hulvey.

Ted worked at the Naval Research and Development Center in Washington D.C. until he retired. The couple lived in Mt. Jackson in their later years.

The name, "Hulvey" and the place, "Mt Jackson", are written on the glass plate.

Identified in 2010 by Fay Hiner, who was a friend and went to the same church as Ted and Dot Hulvey.
