Description

Photograph of Russell "Elwood" Burner as a young boy standing on a wicker chair and holding a stuffed toy.

Elwood Burner was from Woodstock, the son of Walter Elwood Burner and Bessie May (Gochenour) Burner.

He married Rachel Frances Hoover in 1946. At that time, Elwood was an orchardist and his new bride, only 17 years old, worked as a clerk.

The name, "Walt Burner", was written on the glass plate.

The glass plate negative of this image was stored in a box labeled "July 1924".

Contributor

Identified in 2010 by Dennis and Ronda Burner who had the same photograph at home. Dennis was the son of R. Elwood Burner.
