Photograph of Patricia A. "Patsy" (Borden) Holtzclaw seated on a bench with her older brother, Maxwell F. Borden, Jr. standing beside her.
They were the children of Maxwell Fredereck Sr. and Sarah Frances (Beatty) Borden. They grew up in Strasburg.
In the 1930 census, they lived with their parents on E. King St. in Strasburg and their father worked in a farm supply store.
In 1949, the Max and his parents moved to Richmond where their father eventually became a Regional Manager for Southern States. Patsy had already married Clyde Everett Holtzclaw, Jr. in Green Acres, Kentucky (1923-1960), the year before and was no longer living at home.
