Katherine was born in Edinburg. Her first husband was Johnnie Junior Cook, a Private in the U.S. Army. Thee couple married in 1945 but the marriage did not last.
She married for the second time, in 1956, when she worked as a machine operator at Signet. Her husband was 21-year old Earl Eugene Silvious, a poultry plant worker from Quicksburg.
She is buried in Mount Jackson.
The name, "Catherine Cook", is written on the glass plate.
