Description
Two separate portrait photographs of Cecilia Agnes (Phalen) Doyle of Strasburg.
Her parents were Timothy Bernard and Lillian Ruth (Smith) Phalen. Her father was a well-known locomotive engineer for the B&O railroad.
In the 1940 census, she and her two younger brothers lived with their great aunt and uncle, Hugh and Ida Stoneburner, on "A" Street in Strasburg.
Her first husband was Floyd L. Derflinger, Jr. whom she married in 1942, a couple of years after this photograph was made. The marriage did not last as she re-married in 1946.
In the 1950 census, she lived in Miami, Florida, with her second husband, Bernie Doyle, a maintenance worker for a water heater manufacturer. Her mother and brother, James, lived with them.
The glass plate negative of this image was stored in a box labeled, "Strasburg".
