Photograph of two sisters, Sarah Susan "Susie" F. (Clem) Larkin (left) and Lucy Belle (Clem) "Lou" Munch (right) shown standing together.

Their parents were John Adam Grove and Bessie Susan (Henry) Clem of Fort Valley. They had several siblings.

Susie (Clem) Larkin graduated from Bridgewater College and married Clarence Hottle Larkin, from Columbia Furnace. She was a teacher for 32 years. She taught at Powells Fort Valley, Page County and Columbia Furnace elementary schools.

Her sister, Lou (Clem) Munch graduated from Edinburg High School in 1927 and taught school in the area for 13 years. She married Marvin Richard Munch in 1938.
