Wiliam Sidney Funkhouser (who went by "Sidney") is shown as a young man seated on a wicker chair.

He was a son of Isaac Casper and Mary Frances "Mollie" (Mumaw) Funkhouser and grew up on a farm in the Madison District of Shenandoah County.

He had many siblings.

The name, "Funkhouser", is written on the glass plate of this image.
