Virgie S. (Funkhouser) Robertson shown as a young woman wearing a hat and seated on a stone bench.

She was a daughter of Isaac Casper and Mary Frances "Mollie" (Mumaw) Funkhouser, a farming family from the Madison District of Shenandoah County. She had several siblings.

Her husband was Daniel Pettigrew "D.P." Robertson (1894-1986).

Virgie and her husband lived in Fairfax County for many years. She worked for the Fairfax County Government as a public health nurse.

Virgie and her husband are buried in Idyllwood, Fairfax County, Virginia.
