Milton Matthews Ruttenberg, a cadet from Massanutten Military Academy (MMA) is wearing his school's uniform.
Cadet Ruttenberg was a member of the MMA class of 1929.
Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, he went from MMA to the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated in 1933 with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting.
He married Mollie Finegold and she was listed as his emergency contact when he registered for the WWII draft in 1940. At that time, he worked for the Sam Posekoff Company in Pittsburgh.
A year later, he got a job with Rockwell International and stayed there until he retired in 1972 as a senior accountant.
He and his wife raised two daughters together, Carole (Ruttenberg) Schwartz and Merle Nancy (Ruttenberg) Scolnick.
The name, "Ruttenberg", is written on the glass plate of this image.
