Llopis was a cadet at Massanutten Military Academy (MMA), graduating in 1936. In this photograph he is wearing his MMA uniform.
Frank, known also as "Poncho" according to the 1936 MMA yearbook, was a native of Havana Cuba. He later graduated from Cornell University and worked for the Miller Brewing Company to help create Miller Lite Beer. He also founded and was a member of "Los Llopis," a popular Latin Music group in the 1960s.
