Richard was born on June 10, 1927, in Woodstock, Virginia. He was working for the Trailways Vus Company in Washington D.C., when he enlisted in March 1945.
The form includes his duty stations, his dates of service (March 1945 - May 1946), and a description of his service (Hospital Apprentice 1c).
It also noted he was single and hoped to go to college and attend a Military Academy for a year.
