Description

Photograph of Golda Mae (Hottle) Wisman and her husband, Clarence L. Wisman, both seated. Behind them are their three daughters identified as (l to r): Jean Elizabeth (Wisman) Artz, Betty Ann (Wisman) McCoy, and Louise Virginia (Wisman) Carter.

The family was from the Stonewall District and in the 1940 census, Clarence was a blacksmith.

Golda was the daughter of Walter Hottle and a sister to Reba (Hottle) Ryman.

The glass plate negative of this image was stored in a box labeled "July 1949".

Identified in 2012 by Phyllis Wright whose husband, Kenny, went to the same Methodist church in Toms Brook as the subjects.
Phyllis also referenced the book, "The New Hottle History", pages 224, 368, and 509.
