Photograph of the form titled, "Notice of the Separation From U.S. Naval Service" signed by Joseph Ambrose Tisinger, in January 1946.

He served in Camp Peary, Virginia, and aboard the USS Jaccard (DE355).

Joseph also attended training schools at Purdue University and Lafayette, Indiana.

Joseph was born in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, on , March 30, 1944. He was working for W.H. Tisinger as a fruit farmer in Mt. Jackson, when he was inducted into the U.S. Navy in March 1944.

At the time of his discharge, his preference for going forward was to go back to his old job in Mt. Jackson, Virginia.

This document lists his medals as: the American Area, Asiatic-Pacific, Philippine Liberation (1 star), and the World War II Victory Medal.
